From (1),. x = 16 + 3y/4. ---(3)

Put the value of x in equation (2)

6(16+3y/4) +5y =62

96+18y/4 + 5y =62

96+ 18y+20y=62×4

96+38y=248

38y=152

y=4

Now put value of y in equation (3)

x=16+3(4)/4

x=28/4

x=7

Hence found.
