To solve it first from the above equations make y as the subject

After making y the subject the equation looks like this

eqn 1

y =   \frac{4x + 4}{3}

eqn 2

y =  \frac{ - 20 - 4x}{3}

now put some values for 'x' in both of the equations and solve it to get y .

After getting the values plot the points on graph

and you will get two straight lines which will intersect at a point.

That point will be your answer.
