4x-3y=8 ....(1)
18x-3y=29 .... (2)

subtracting equ(2)and(1). weget,
x=1.5
putting x=1.5 in equ 1
4×1.5-3y=8
6-3y=8
-3y=8-6=2
y=2/-3
hence, y=2/-3
and,x=1.5

here is your answer

given equations are

4x - 3y = 8

18x - 3y = 29

subtracting both equations, we get,

18x - 3y - 4x + 3y = 29 - 8
14x = 21 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{21}{14}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{3}{2}

on putting the value of x in equation 4x-3y=8
4  \times \frac{3}{2}  - 3y = 8 \\ 6 - 3y = 8 \\ 3y = 6 - 8 \\ 3y =  - 2 \\ y =  \frac{ - 2}{3}

hope it helps you

thanks
