Total number of students = 50

Students come to school by bus = 25

Students come to school by bicycle = 20

Students come to school by foot = 30

Students come to school by all the three = 10.

Now we show the whole data in the Venn diagram. We have t find out how many students use to come to school exactly by two modes of transport. For this problem, we have to count all the types of transport. So from the Venn diagram, we have

n(use exactly two types of transport) = [n(bus and bicycle) + n(foot and bicycle) + n(foot and bus)]

                                                             = [30 + 25 + 20 - 3*10 +10 -50]

                                                             = 5(ans.)
