Given :

4x+y/3=8/3;

x/2+3y/4=-5/4

To find : Solve for x and y

Solution:

4x+y/3=8/3  => 12x  + y  = 8

x/2+3y/4=-5/4  =>  2x  + 3y  = - 5

12x  + y  = 8   => 36x  + 3y  = 24

2x  + 3y  = - 5  => 2x  + 3y  = - 5

=> 34x  = 29

=> x = 29/34

12x  + y  = 8

2x  + 3y  = - 5   => 12x  + 18y  = -30

=> -17y  = 38

=> y = - 38/17

x = 29/34  and   y = - 38/17
