 \color{lightgreen} \boxed   { \colorbox{black}{ \sf{ (4x + 2)(x + 1)}}}

To do :-

● Factorize 4x²+6x+2 by using method of

splitting middle term

Solution:-

● In order to factorize 4x²+6x+2 ,we find

two numbers p and q such that p+q= 6 and

pq= 4×2=8.

● Clearly,4+2 =6 and 4×2 = 8

● We know split the middle term 6x in the

given quadratic as 4x +2x ,so that

 -  > 4 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 2  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\\\   = > 4 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 2x + 2  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\\\  =  > 4x(x + 1) + 2(x + 1) \\  \\=  > (4x + 2)(x + 1) \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:

Hence:-

 \color{yellow} \boxed \bigstar  { \colorbox{black}{ \sf{ (4x + 2)(x + 1)}}}

Extra information:-

  • (a+b)²= a²+b²+2ab

  • (a-b)²=a²+b²-2ab

  • (a²-b²)=(a+b)(a-b)

  • (a²+b²)= (a+b)²-2ab
