We know that,

Molarity(M) = moles(n)/volume(vol)

Given,
M = 0.4
Vol = 5

0.4 =moles(n)/5
n = 0.5 x 4
n = 2
Hope it helps!

0.4 0.4 M or 0.4 0.4 moles are present in 1L solution.

=> In 5L 5L moles moles =

0.4×5=2 0.4×5=2 moles.

hope it helps
