Answer:

(5)/(2)*x+3=(21)/(2)

(5x)/(2)+3=(21)/(2)

(5x)/(2)=-3+(21)/(2)

(5x)/(2)=(15)/(2)

(5x)/(2)*2=(15)/(2)*2

5x=(15)/(2)*2

5x=15

(5x)/(5)=(15)/(5)

x=(15)/(5)

x=3

The value of x = 3

GIVEN:-

 \frac{5}{2} x + 3 =  \frac{21}{2}  \\

TO FIND:- the value of x

SOLUTION:-

According to the question,

We'll take LCM as 2 for making both denominators equal.

 \frac{5}{2} x + 3 =  \frac{21}{2}  \\  \frac{5 \times 1 \times x}{2}  +  \frac{3 \times 2}{1 \times 2}  =  \frac{21}{2}  \\  \frac{5x}{2}  +  \frac{6}{2}  =  \frac{21}{2}  \\  \frac{5x + 6}{2}  =  \frac{21}{2}  \\

The denominator of both sides is equal so both will be reduced to 1

5x + 6 = 21

When we shift any variable or number from one side to another then the sign changes

5x = 21 - 6 \\ 5x = 15

Dividing both sides by 5

 \frac{5x}{5}  =  \frac{15}{5}  \\ x = 3

Hence, the value of x = 3
