because when plus and minus are solved with equal numbers in both plus and minus side

they cancel out each other's value !

ex -

if you have 5 chocolates

and someone takes 5 chocolates from you .

you'll have zero !

here taking five chocolates Is like -5 !

we can compare √5 as five chocolates

and 5 chocolates taken can be compared to -√5 !
