 \huge {\underline {\underline {\mathrm {\purple {♡ANSWER♡ }}}}}

 \frac{5 - 7x}{2(1 + 2x)}  =  \frac{ - 8}{7}

 =>  (5 - 7x) \times 7 =  - 8 \times 2(1 + 2x)

 =>  35 - 49x =  - 16(1 + 2x)

 =>  35 - 49x =  - 16 + 32x

 =>  - 49x + 32x =  - 16 - 35

 =>  - 17x =  - 51

 => x =  \frac{51}{47}  = 3

 => x = 3

Hope it helps you !!
