Given:

A research worker takes 100 observations in an experiment.

To find:

If he repeats the same experiment by taking 500 observations how is the probable or random error affected explain with solution.

Solution:

From given, we have,

A research worker takes 100 observations.

Probable error = 100

Again the research worker takes 500 observations.

Probable error = 100/500 = 1/5

∴ The probable error gets reduced by 1/5 of its original value.
