5. Length of the train is 280 m equal to distance travel.

According to the question

Distance Travelled= 280 m

Speed of the train = 42km/h= 700/60m/s

Using the formula Time = Distance/Time

= 280÷700/60

= 280×60/700

= 16800/700

= 24s

Therefore, answer: - Train will take 24 seconds to pass a man standing on the platform.

6.Answer: The train speed is 45 km/hr.

Given: Length of the train is 350 m which is considered as distance.

The time required by the train to cross the electric pole = 28 seconds

Solution:

By formula, Speed =

Speed of the train =   = 12.5 m/sec

To convert m/sec into km/hr multiply by the value  = 45 km/hr

The speed travelled by train is 45 km/hr.
