In the first part of journey, Let the initial velocity be 0 m/s and final velocity be v m/s and distance be A
Therefore, by position velocity relation,
v2 - 02 = 2 * x * A
V2 = 2 * x * A ..... i
Similarly for the second part of journey,
02 - v2 = 2 * -y * B
v2 = 2 * y * B ...... ii
From i and ii we have
2 * x * A = 2 * y * B
x/ y = B/ A
x : y = B:A
