Answer: (i)  Definition: Anionic detergents are the sodium salts of the long-chain sulfonated alcohols or hydrocarbons. Examples: Sodium n-dodecyl benzene sulphonate and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.

(ii)Food preservatives are chemicals that prevent food from spoilage due to microbial growth. Table salt, sugar, vegetable oil, sodium benzoate (C6H3COONa), and salts of propanoic acid are some examples of food preservatives.

(iii)The main types of antibiotics include: Penicillins - for example, phenoxymethylpenicillin, flucloxacillin and amoxicillin. Cephalosporins - for example, cefaclor, cefadroxil and cefalexin. Tetracyclines - for example, tetracycline, doxycycline and lymecycline.
