The expression would be X + 14

First of all, according to the question, let us write the relation that states the sum of X and 9.

As sum of any 2 numbers like 'a' and 'b' is given as "a+b".

So, for the given question, sum of X and 9 would be equal to

X + 9

It is told that 5 is again added to the resultant of the summation, so we get the  result as

X + 9 + 5

= X + 14

This is the required expression.
