The courtiers of Akbar were jealous of Birbal and planned to kill him. As per the plan, the King's barber told the king that his Majesty, his father wanted a minister in heaven. The King immediately decided to send Birbal. Birbal also agreed.

He asked for a month leave to say goodbye to everyone. The king agreed. After a month a pyre was built for Birbal and he sat onit. Birbal disappeared suddenly. Everyone thought that he went to heaven. But he returned after six months with a long flowing hair and beard.

The king rejoiced to see him and asked how was everything in heaven? Birbal replied that except a good barber, there was everything in heaven. The king immediately turned towards the barber.
