Mountain range is basically a long and narrow strip of mountains and hills which are of same geological age but structural variations may be there. In case of Mountain chain, it is also a consisting of several hills and mountains(may be in a linear manner or in a group) but all hills belonging to different age. Mountain system is set of mountain ranges (say two ranges in parallel like a equality sign =) separated by valleys.
