Fossil fuel:- A natural fuel such as coal or gas, formed in the geological past from remains of living organisms.

Coal and petroleum have been formed from remains of dead animals and plants which has been subjected to various biological and geological process. Coal is the resource of remains of trees and other plants that lived millions of years ago. Bacteria attacks dead animals and change them into oil under high pressure.
