The poem The photograph was appeared to be grieving due to some reasons

  • the poet membering her mom who is no more or can say she died.

another reason was poet's mother was remembering her past which was in that photograph where she was a young girl and playing at the beach side with her sisters and enjoying her holidays

the key point of this chapter is the emotions they both are facing with regrets and setbacks ....can not be recovered or rebegins.

Answer:

yes the poet grieve due to his mother

Explanation:

'This circumstance' refers to the death of the poet's mother. Whenever she saw the photograph of her mother, she becomes sad as the photograph brings sad nostalgic feelings. She gets lost in the old sweet memories of the past.
