Question :-

  • Find the zeroes of the quadratic poly. x' +7x +12 and verify the relation between the zeroes and itscoefficients.

Answer :-

  • zeroes of the quadratic polynomial = -3 and -4

Given :-

  • Quadratic polynomial   \tt{ x}^{2}  + 7x + 12

To find :-

  • Find the zeroes of the quadratic poly. x' +7x +12 and verify the relation between the zeroes and its coefficients.

Solution :-

\large \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \underbrace { \underline{  \sf First \: we \: factorise \: the \: equation :  - }}

\large \\ \implies\tt x^2+7x+12=0

\large\\ \implies\tt(x + 3)(x + 4) = 0

\large\\ \implies\tt x =  - 3 \: and \: x =  - 4

Now we find the relationship between the zeroes and its coefficients ,

\large \tt Sum  \: of  \: roots =   - \dfrac {b}{a}  =   - \dfrac{7}{1}  =  - 7 = ( - 3) + ( - 4)

\large \\  \tt Product \:  of \:  zeros  =  \dfrac{c}{a}  =  \dfrac{12}{1}  = 12 =  (- 3) \times ( - 4)

Hence solved !!
