Explanation:

a. Cherapunji receives more rainfall than Jaiselmar Because of Orographic Rainfall. Cherapunji Is situated on the rain bearing side of mountains where the Moisture containing Winds pushed upwards by hitting the mountains and condense at higher altitudes and only one side of mountain experiences more rainfall.

b. Temperature of a place depends on many factors , but here As Mahabaleswar Is situated at Higher Altitudes above the sea level , that's why its cooler than Mumbai which located at lower altitudes..

c. Northern Plains get Winter Rains due to Western Disturbances . Western disturbance is a storm that originates in the Mediterranean region that beings sudden rainfall to the northwestern part of sub-continent.

d. Central Maharastra Receives less rainfall than Western Mahastra because of Orographic Rainfall. As the western ghats separate the western and central Maharastra. The most winds that brings rain from the Arabian Sea come and hit the rain bearing Side of Western ghats (Western Side of Maharastra). Follow no. A to understand better. You can relate this to Rainfall of Mumbai and Pune where Mumbai on the western side receives more rainfall than Pune on the central Maharastra.

hope this helps..
