we have to find the stone which will reach earths surface first; if are dropped from a height.
(IF THE STONES ARE DROPPED FROM A SAME HEIGHT AND WITH SAME MASS OF EARTH)
We know;
the force acting the stone is ;
F = m x a
therefore;
the force on 150 gm stone = 150 x 9.8 ( gravitational force) = 1470 N
the force on 500 gm stone = 500 x 9.8 ( gravitational force) = 4900 N
So, by this we can clearly state that the stone experiencing more force towards the surface of earth will reach first.
