5. In Fig. 8.24, APQR is isosceles with PQ = PR. LM is parallel to QR with L on PQ and M
on PR. Give reasons for each of the following statements.
(i) angle Q = angle R
(ii) angle PLM = angle Q
(iii) angel PML= angel R
(iv) angle PLM= angle PML
(v) triangle PLM is isosceles ​

(i) since it is a isosceles triangle angle Q = angle R

(ii) lm parallel qr therefore angle plm = angle q corresponding angles

(iii) lm parallel qr therefore angle PML = angle r corresponding angles

(iv) since angle plm = angle q and angle PML = angle r therefore angle plm = angle PML

(v) since angle plm = angle plm = angle pml there fore triangle plm is isosceles triangle
