- A camel has two rows of long eyelashes which protect its eyes from sand and glare of sunlight.
- The hump of camel has fats stored in it that helps it to survive without food and water during long journeys.
- It has thick and leathery patches on it's knees to protect it from getting burned when it kneels on the hot desert.
- The broad and padded feet enable it to walk comfortably on sand without sinking.
- A camel can close it nostrils to keep away sand.
- The legs of camel are very long and strong that keeps it away from the hot sand. Its legs help it to carry load over long distances in desert too.
- It has extremely long large intestine that absorbs maximum amount of water present in food and fulfil its need of water for many days.
