Make sketches of animal and plant cells. State the three differences between them.

Plant cell Animal cell

Plant cells have a cell wall. It provides support and gives shape to plants. Animals cells do not have cell walls.

Plant cells have chloroplasts. Chloroplasts enable plants to perform photosynthesis to make food. Do not have chloroplasts.

Plant cells usually have one or more large vacuole(s) Animal cells have smaller vacuoles

Large vacuoles help provide shape and allow the plant to store water and food. The storage function plays a lesser role in animal cells. Therefore the vacuoles are smaller.
