5 minute speech on how to impress our parents
Answers
Ask them about their health and well being. Inquire about their activities and hobbies, friends and social life.
The next time you speak with them or meet them, follow up on these disclosures. This will show them that you are interested in their lives and that you care.
Tell them about your work, leisure activities, holidays and friendships at work and otherwise.
Carry a small or big, thoughtful, not necessarily expensive, gift for both of them or each of them.
If your mom likes jewellery, buy her a nice trinket: ear rings, bracelet or necklace.
If your dad likes steak, buy them a couple of steaks. If he’s a DIY guy, then some new gizmo from the hardware store might appeal.
Parents don’t really want to be impressed. They just want some quality time and attention and a place in your life.
