5. Peter had 10 bottles of lemon tea. At first, each of the bottles contained the
same volume of lemon tea. After he poured 225 ml of lemon tea out from
each bottle, the volume of lemon tea left in the 10 bottles was equal to the
total volume of lemon tea in 6 of the bottles at first. How much lemon tea was
there in each bottle at first?

Answer:

Let x be the amount in each bottle first

Then total volume at first = 10x

225ml was taken out from each bottle

Then the amount remaining=10x - 225×10=

10x - 2250

This amount is equal to 6x

10x - 2250 = 6x

4x = 2250

x = 2250÷4 = 562.5 ml Ans
