And sorry I could not travel both
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

a)
The road symbolise our life it is a stage by we have to take decisions in our life which may bring success or failure in our future . Hence the roads diverged and give us a thought of some situations in our life where we cannot take two decisions but one . In which either of them are important .
b)
He couldn't travel both because once he had taken a road he had to be sure on one decision as he cannot undo it or redo it later. Once a road taken ; a decision take will lead to different consequences as compared to the other road or the other decision .Once he has decided to take the road he cannot travel both because ; he will reach the destination from where he can never ever return to the same place . So he apologizes that he cannot take both but promises that he would return which might be impossible .
c)
Yellow wood symbolises the stages of life .We know that during the early stages of a leaf it is green in colour but when autumn season occurs all of them turn yellow and start to whither off . In the same Robert Frost has also compared the stages of life with the leaf .

a. What do the roads symbolize?
- The roads symbolize is the hard or the toughest choice we have to take in our life, If this poem the poem was walking in his journey and suddenly he stops because he found two different ways and he was really trying to take the best path to continue is best journey till the end, Similarly we have to take the right decisions in our life (The right path).
b. Why couldn't he travel both?
- He can't travel on both the roads because ones he taken a decision he must stand up with it without letting his travel down, he can't come back to the same road again. In ones life they must be strong with their decision and never get confused between two options.
c. What does 'Yellow wood' mean?
- The word "Yellow wood" - Yellow refers the yellow leaves which is found at the autumn season and Wood refers the forests where we find a large group of trees. The whole sentence in this phase refers, The road diverged into two roads - On one side the rode is of yellow leaves on the other side the road is of Brick Road.
- Yellow wood original means: A forest of yellow autumn leaves.
