Question:-

Simplify the following:-

 (\frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{3})  + ( \frac{1}{6} \times  \frac{3}{2}) - ( \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{13}{8} )

Answer:-

  \implies(\frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{3})  + ( \frac{1}{6} \times  \frac{3}{2}) - ( \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{13}{8} )    \\ \\   \implies \frac{35}{6} +  \frac{1}{4} -  \frac{13}{6}   \\ \\taking \: lcm \: as \: 12 \\ \\    \implies \frac{70 + 3 - 26}{12} \\  \\   \implies \frac{47}{12}

Thus, the final answer we got is  \frac{47}{12}

Additional Information:-

We do these questions according to the concept of BODMAS

B - Brackets

O - Of(multiply)

D - Division

M - Multiply

A - Addition

S - Substraction

{ \huge{ \bf{ \underline{Question}}}}

Simplify and write the result in p/q forms :

 \sf{ (\frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{3}) +  (\frac{1}{6}  \times  \frac{3}{2}) - ( \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{13}{8})}

(in the attachment)

Steps followed :

(refer to the steps and compare the attachment to it for better understanding)

  1. Firstly we have multiplied the fractions (7/2 × 5/3) + (1/6×3/2) - (4/3×13/8) as directed and hence got the answers as (35/6)+(3/12)-(52/24)
  2. Then, we have tried to simplify the fractions which even though simplified gave us fractions : (35/6)+(1/4)-(26/12)
  3. The following the BODMAS RULE (B - bracket) (O - of)(D - division) (M - multiplication)(A - addition)(S - subtraction) we have tried to add (35/6) with (1/4) by taking the LCM.
  4. After the addition we have got a new fraction (73/12)
  5. Now according to the question ; we have to subtract (52/24) which when simplified becomes (26/12) from the sum of (35/6 and 3/12) . So , we did the same ; subtracted it : (73-26)/12
  6. Thus obtained the answer : 47/12
