Simplify and write the result in p/q forms :
(in the attachment)
Steps followed :
(refer to the steps and compare the attachment to it for better understanding)
- Firstly we have multiplied the fractions (7/2 × 5/3) + (1/6×3/2) - (4/3×13/8) as directed and hence got the answers as (35/6)+(3/12)-(52/24)
- Then, we have tried to simplify the fractions which even though simplified gave us fractions : (35/6)+(1/4)-(26/12)
- The following the BODMAS RULE (B - bracket) (O - of)(D - division) (M - multiplication)(A - addition)(S - subtraction) we have tried to add (35/6) with (1/4) by taking the LCM.
- After the addition we have got a new fraction (73/12)
- Now according to the question ; we have to subtract (52/24) which when simplified becomes (26/12) from the sum of (35/6 and 3/12) . So , we did the same ; subtracted it : (73-26)/12
- Thus obtained the answer : 47/12
