C1*V1 = C2 * V2

assume if you want to prepare to the volume of 100 ml, then:

5 % * V1 = 3.5% * 100 , So , V1= 7 ml, that mean you should take 7ml from the stock solution (5%) and completed to the volume (100ml) by deionized water.
