Solution:

y = 1970 (0.99)ˣ

y intercept is  where it cut y axis

Hence  x axis must be 0

so x = 0

=> y = 1970 (0.99)⁰

=> y = 1970 (1)

=> y = 1970

Hence  at r = 0 amount wad 1970

So Amount initially was   1970
