5. Suggest reasons
for the following:
a) Balloons sometimes burst in
sunlight
b) Water droplets appear on the outer surface of tumbler containing ice.​

Answer:

a) in sunlight, the air inside balloons expand ( volume increases with temperature).When the volume becomes too much for the balloon to contain, it bursts.

b) Air contains water vapour. When the water vapour in air comes in contact with the cold surface of the tumbler, the water vapour condenses (turns back liquid due to drop in temperature) and thus the water droplets are seen on the outer surface.
