5. The base of parallelogram is twice its height. If the area of the parallelogram is 512 cm”, find the base and height.

then it's base = 2(height)= 2x

ar of the parallelogram= base × height

512= (x) × (2x)

512= 2x power 2

x power 2 = 512÷2

x power 2 = 256

x = √256

x = 16 cm

height =x = 16 cm

base = 2x = 2×16=32cm
