Area of a trapezium

= (1/2)*(sum of its parallel sides)*h

= (1/2)*(8+15)*12

= 6*23

= 138 m^2

Formula to find the area of trapezium is

 \frac{sum \: of \: parallel \: sides}{2} \times height \\

Or

 \frac{a + b}{2} \times h \\

Therefore,

 \frac{15 + 8}{2} \times 12 \\

 = \frac{23}{2} \times 12 \\ = 138

Hence , Area of trapezium is 138 m square.
