Solution : According to given

→ 2 ½ litres of paint is used to cover 725 m² of area. means 2.5 litres of paint is used to cover 725 m² of area.

Here, we need to find one litre paint how much area will be covered hence,

→ one litre paint = {725/2.5} m²

→ one litre paint = 290

Let, paint required to paint 2001 m² of area be x :

→ x = {2001/209} litres

→ x = {69/10} litres

→ x = 6.9 litres

Let, area in m² covered by 4.75 litres of paint be y :

→ y = {4.75 × 290} m²

→ y = 1377.5 m²

Answer :

  • 6.9 litres paint required to paint 2001 m² of area.

  • 1377.5 m² area covered by 4.75 litres of paint.
