In place of (a+d)+c, it should be (a+b)+c.

Answer according to that:

LHS = a+(b+c)

=1/2+(3/4+(-2/3))

=1/2+((9-8)/12)

=1/2+1/12

=(6+1)/12

=7/12.

RHS = (a+b)+c

=(1/2+3/4)+(-2/3)

=((2+3)/4)-2/3

=5/4-2/3

=(15-8)/12

=7/12.

LHS=RHS.

Therefore, it is proved.
