Answer:

a) Pole :

the centre of reflecting surface of a spherical mirror is a point called as pole, represented by P.

b)centre of curvature:

the reflecting surface of a spherical mirror forms a part of a sphere. this sphere has a centre, and this centre is called centre of curvature. represented by C.

c)Focus:

the midpoint between C and P is called focus(F).

d) radius of curvature:

the radius of the sphere which your spherical is a part of is called radius of curvature (R).

e) focal length:

the length from focus point to the pole is called focal length, denoted by f.

f) principal axis:

a straight line passing through C and P of the sperical mirror is called principal axis.

g) object distance:

length from the pole to the point where object is placed. denoted by u.

h) image distance:

length from pole to the point where the image is formed us image distance denoted by v.

I) magnification:

magnification produced by a spherical mirror gives the relative extent to which the image of an object is magnified w.r.t the object size. denoted by m.

magnification (m)= height of image (h')/ height of object (h)

m= h'/h= -v/u
