Answer:

a circulatory system in which the blood makes two distinct circuits — compare pulmonary circulation, systemic circulation.

We have a complete double circulation, i.e., two circulatory pathways, namely, pulmonary and systemic are present. The pulmonary circulation starts by the pumping of deoxygenated blood by the right ventricle which is carried to the lungs where it is oxygenated and returned to the left atrium.

Hello there,
Basically circulation is of three types:
1.Single: Only one artria and one ventricle as in fishes which allows deoxygenated as well as oxygenated blood to mix
2.Semi double: Two atria and one ventricle which again allows both kinds of blood to get mixed as in reptiles
3.Double: Two atria and two ventricles which does not allow the two kinds of blood to mix through as in ours that is mammals
