Explanation:

5. Why do you think the earth is home to human beings and other organisms?

Ans The Earth is the home of human beings as it provides favourable living conditions which constitute our environment. It provides us with the air we breathe, water we drink, food we eat and land where we live.

6. Why is the lithosphere very important for the progress of human beings?

Ans Lithosphere is one of the most important parts of the biosphere because it is the area of the biosphere that all lifeforms inhabit and live upon. The source for all the accessible mineral resources for human use is the lithosphere.

7. The earth would have been a barren planet without the atmosphere. Do you agree with this statement? Why?

Ans  yes i agree with this statement as if there would be no atmosphere then earth would be a barren land as the biosphere in which we live is composed of three layers- atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere. Atmosphere is a blanket of air that surrounds the earth and if it would be not there then there would be no human beings or plant or creatures on earth as to survive on earth we need oxygen and plants need carbon dioxide and if there would be no atmosphere then there would be no presecnce of air and everything would be destroyed here.

8. Why do plants and animals depend on each other?

Ans Plants and animals depend upon each other as mutual interdependence is must for their survival. Plants provide shelter for animals and they make oxygen for the animals to live. When animals die they decompose and become natural fertilizer plants. Plants depend on animals for nutrients, pollination and seed dispersal.
