The 4R principal consists of:

• Reduce - We must prevent overuse and wastage of resources to conserve it.
• Reuse - We must reuse the resources if they can be accessed again in order to prevent overuse of resources.
• Recycle - We must recycle the resources so that it can be used again. It prevents the wastage of resources.

• Refuse - We must refuse the resources which pollute the environment.

Plastic containers are favoured for storing food because they are inert in nature. They neither react with the food nor spoil it.

1) Reduce:

this means to reduce the waste produced. the way to reduce the waste is that we should buy only those products which are needed

2) Reuse:

this means that we should use our waste material by making something useful from our waste stuff

some ways are:

1. we can use our old plastic bottle as a storage bottle for storing products such as oil,water etc
2. we can use our old pens by using refills etc.

3) recycle:

we can recycle our useless items (making it as a new product after processing) some of the ways are:-

1. we can give our old notebooks and pages for recycling it will also help to prevent deforestation.
2. we can use our old clothes as dusting cloth, we can also make some decorative things out of it.

4) refuse:-

we should avoid buying pollution causing stuff likewise:-

1. while buying the grocery we should take our own cloth bag (jute, cotton etc) instead of taking polybags .
2. we can also use a glass bottle or metallic bottle instead of plastic once .

question 2:-

we should use a plastic container because:-

1. it reacts less as compared to metallic containers ( when we keep pickle in metallic container , the metal reacts with acid and corrodes but plastic do not reacts that much)
2. it is cheaper than metals
3. it is portable( can be easily carried)

thus , a plastic container is advised over a metallic once.
