Let age of A = x
Let age of B = y
x - 5 = 3(y - 5)
x - 5 = 3y - 15
x - 3y = - 15 + 5
x - 3y = - 10
x = - 10 + 3y --------(1)
x + 10 = 3(y + 10)
x + 10 = 3y + 30
x - 3y = 30 - 10
x - 3y = 20 --------(2)
Put (1) in (2)
- 10 + 3y - 3y = 20
- 10 = 20
