Given,

Momentum 'p' = 500 kg m/s

         mass 'm' = 5 kg

To find,

Kinetic energy

Solution,

Momentum 'p' = 500 kg m/s

 mass 'm' = 5 kg

Momentum = mass * Velocity

velocity = momentum/mass

              = 500/5

               =100 m/s

Kinetic Energy = 1/2*m* v²

                         = 1/2*5*100*100

                         =25000 Joules

Hence, the kinetic energy of a body of mass 5 kg and momentum 500 kg m/s is 25000 Joules.
