Let the breadth be x cm.

So, length = (x+1.5) cm

Perimeter = 19 cm.

So, x+(x+1.5) = 19

or, 2x = 19-1.5

or, 2x = 17.5

or, x = 17.5/2

or, x = 8.75

So, breadth = x = 8.75 cm.

and length = (x+1.5) cm = 10.25 cm

Hence, its length and breadth are 10.25 cm and 8.75 cm respectively.

Hope this helps you to get to your answer.

Answer:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x.

So length of rectangle will be x + 1.5cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

19 = 2 (x + x + 1.5)

19 = 2 (2x + 1.5)

19 = 4x + 3

19 - 3 = 4x

16 = 4x

16/4 = x

4 = x

Length of rectangle = 4 + 1.5 = 5.5cm

Breadth of rectangle = 4cm
