Answer:

age of son:- 13

age of father:- 45

Explanation:

let father's age be x

let son's age be y

x-5=5(y-5)---------1

x+3=3(y+3)------2

solving the equation will give y=13 and x =45

thats why father's age is 45

son's age is 13

Answer:

Fathers age - 45 years and Son's age - 13 years.

Explanation:

Let be father age x years and son age y years.

Five yeras ago :-

(x-5)= 5(y-5)

x-5= 5y-25

x-5y+20=0

(x+3)= 3(y+3)

x+3 = 3y+9

x-3y-6=0

According to this question :-

By elimination method :-

x-5y+20 -(x-3y-6)=0

x-5y+20-x+3y+6 =0

-2y = -26

y = 13 years

value of y substitute in x-5y+20 =0

x-5×13+20=0

x-65+20=0

x = 45years
