Let Reena's age be x

Let her daughter ''s age be y

Then,

Case 1, ( x-5)= 4(y-5)

Case 2. (x+5)=6+ 2y

Case I : x-5 = 4y - 20

x- 4y = - 20 + 5

X - 4y = - 15. (1)

Case 2 : x+5 = 6 + 2y

X - 2y = 6 - 5

X - 2y = 1. (2)

(1) - (2) :

Y = 8

Substituting the value of y

X - 32 = - 15

X = - 15 +32

X = 17
