An A-52 Air India Airlines Palam-Mumbai bound Boeing carrying 100 passengers and 7 crew members crashed near the airport, killing 45 passengers and 5 crew members. The jet was scheduled to land at 5:30 p.m., however, both engines failed unexpectedly, leaving the Pilots (Captain and First Officer) distraught as they attempted but failed to save their lives.
In this horrific disaster, all Indian military members and their families were slain, and those who survived were severely burned and brought to the nearest hospital. Firefighters attempted to save everyone but were unable to do so due to the chaos and fire.
The Minister of Civil Aviation came on the scene immediately and issued a compensation package worth Rs.6 lakhs for children whose parents died, Rs.2 lakhs for wives, and Rs.1 lakh for injured individuals.

The plane was supposed to land at 5:30 p.m but suddenly, both the engines failed, leaving the Pilots (Captain and First Officer) miserable as they did everything to save their lives but unfortunately failed to do so.
All Indian Military personnel and their family were killed in this tragic accident, the rest who have survived are burnt severely and taken to the nearest hospital. Fire Fighters tried to rescue everyone but couldn't due to huge commotion and flames.
The Minister of Civil Aviation arrived at the spot instantly and announced a compensation of Rs.6 lakhs to the children whose parents died, and compensation of Rs.2 lakhs to the wives, and Rs.1 lakh to the injured people.
