Calculate if a wall of length 5m was to be built across open ground. The height of the wall is
2m and thickness is 24cm. If this wall was built up with bricks whose dimensions are 24 cm X
12 cm X 8 cm, how many bricks would be required.

Answer:

1,041.66666667 = 1041

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = 5m = 500cm

Thickness = 24cm Height = 2m = 200cm

Volume of wall = 500 × 24 × 200 cm³ =2,400,000

Now, each brick is also a cubid with L=24cm, B= 12cm And Height = 8cm

Volume of each brick= L × B × H

= 24 × 12 × 8 = 2,304

Number of each brick =

Volume of the wall/Volume of each brick

= 2,400,000/2,304 = 1,041.66666667
