Price is increased by 25% , we have to reduce it , so that expenditure will be same ....

\bold{\boxed{\huge{\boxed{\orange{\small{\boxed{\huge{\red{\bold{\:Answer}}}}}}}}}}

\large\red{\boxed{\sf </strong><strong>Method</strong><strong>(</strong><strong>1</strong><strong>)</strong><strong>}}

Direct Formula :---- R*100/(100±R)

Here price is increased so , we will take it positive.

Required % = 25*100/125 = 20% (Ans)

\large\red{\boxed{\sf Method(</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>)}}

25% = 25/100 = 1/4

since price is increased,

(N/D+N) = 1/(4+1) = 1/5

1/5 = 20% (Ans)

\large\red{\boxed{\sf Method(</strong><strong>3</strong><strong>)}}

we know that,

Price * consumption = Expenditure

let price = 10

consumption = 10

than expenditure = 100

10 * 10 = 100

12.5 * X = 100

(since price inc by 25% and expenditure we have to keep same)

X = 100/12.5 = 8

Decrease in consumption = 2*100/10 = 20% (Ans)

\large\red{\boxed{\sf Method(</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>)}}

Use :- A+B+AB/100

25-X-25x/100 = 0 (since exp is same)

25-x-x/4 = 0

25 = x+x/4

5x/4 = 25

x = 20% (Ans)
