Given,

area of trapezium = 12 m²

height of trapezium = 3 m

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × sum of parallel sides × height

=> 12 = 1/2 × sum of parallel sides × 3

=> 12 × 2 = sum of parallel sides × 3

=> sum of parallel sides = 24 / 3

=> sum of parallel sides = 8 m
