Heat = V²t/R
where V is potential difference
t is time and R is resistance .

here,
Heat = 500 j
t = 5 second
R = 10 Ohm

500 = V² × 5/10
500 = V²/2
1000 = V²
take square root both sides ,
V = 10√10 volt
